Terms of service
Last updated October 14, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Unrust for using unrust.dev. By using Unrust you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
The short version
- The diagnostic is a self-administered practice measurement, not a certification or a hiring tool.
- Paid plans are prepaid in crypto and never renew on their own.
- Don’t automate, scrape or attack the service, and don’t republish our drills.
- Unrust comes with no promise of any particular result.
The service
Unrust offers a free diagnostic that measures six core coding skills while you work without AI assistance, and paid features built on it: unlimited adaptive practice, the full drill library, a per-skill mastery ladder and a saved trend. You can take the diagnostic without an account; the pricing page shows what each plan includes.
What a result means
The diagnostic is a short, self-administered practice measurement. Each result is an estimate from a small sample of questions answered on one day, and our scoring and bands are still being calibrated, so they can change. A single result can’t tell you why a skill reads the way it does: being out of practice, an unfamiliar question style and an off day can look the same.
A result isn’t a certification, credential or qualification. Unrust isn’t designed or validated for hiring, promotion, admission or any other decision about a person, so please don’t use it that way, and don’t present a result as more than it is.
Your account
You must be at least 13 to use Unrust, or older if the law where you live requires it. Give accurate sign-up details, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us at support@unrust.dev if you think someone else has used your account. Accounts are for one person, and you’re responsible for activity under yours.
Acceptable use
When you use Unrust, please don’t:
- use bots, scripts or other automation to take diagnostics, run practice, create accounts or send requests in bulk;
- scrape, copy or collect drills, answer keys or explanations, or publish or sell them, for example as answer banks;
- get around the paywall, rate limits or security measures, or access accounts or data that aren’t yours;
- tamper with scores, timings, share links or attribution, for example with forged requests;
- disrupt the service or other people’s use of it, or use it to break the law.
Paid plans and payments
- Paid plans are priced in US dollars and paid in stablecoins (USDT, USDC or DAI) on the Ethereum network, through a payment gateway we run ourselves. We don’t accept cards.
- Each payment buys a prepaid period: 30 days on the monthly plan, 365 days on the annual plan. Nothing renews automatically and we can’t charge you again; you pay only when you choose to. Paying before a period ends adds the new time on top, so renewing early never loses days.
- Each payment shows the exact token and amount, and its price is held for 24 hours from when you start checkout. Send exactly that token, on Ethereum, to the address shown. Funds sent in another token or on another network can’t be recovered, and a payment that arrives short of the quote may not unlock access. You pay any network (gas) fees.
- Offers: the new-member price applies to an account’s first payment, once per account. A seasonal offer shows its price and end time; it applies to checkouts started before then, and the price is held for 24 hours while you pay. Offers don’t combine on a plan. We end an offer before its stated time only to correct a pricing error; a checkout already started keeps its price for its 24-hour hold.
- Blockchain payments can’t be reversed by a bank or card network. If something went wrong with a payment, email support@unrust.dev with the transaction ID; any refund we agree to is sent back on-chain.
- When your period ends, paid features lock again, and your account and history stay. Price changes never affect time you’ve already paid for.
Ownership
Unrust’s drills, explanations, software, design and name belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own practice while you use Unrust, but not copy, republish, sell or collect them in bulk.
Your answers stay yours. You let us store and process them to run Unrust for you, and to use them in aggregated form to improve our questions and the product. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely.
No guarantees
We work to keep Unrust accurate and available, but it’s provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every question, answer key or score is right, or that using it will lead to any particular outcome, such as a higher score, a skill level, an interview or a job.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, opportunities or data), and our total liability for any claim relating to Unrust is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Unrust at any time, and ask us to delete your account at support@unrust.dev. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk, and we may change, pause or retire features. The ownership, no-guarantees and liability sections keep applying after your use ends.
